PERRET SCHAAD presented today their 10th collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection is inspired by the atmosphere of a summer day at the French Riviera with its familiar, yet exciting contrasts: The blazing light of noon and the welcome cooling in the end of a day on the beach at Cote D’Azur. The even rush of the sea at night and the sound of scooters along the Corniche.
The garden of Kronprinzenpalais, where this year’s PERRET SCHAAD Spring/Summer 2015 show was set, displays the same interesting ambiguity, with its stylistic and material mix and its asymmetrical composition. The most interesting feature about the setup were the views that open up from here: Located in its very heart, the city appeared as a dramatic collage of old and new, temporary and monumental, elegant and rough elements. Inspired by this intrinsically real scenery, the PERRET SCHAAD Spring/Summer 2015 show created another layer of the collage, adding its own shapes and colours to it, blending into this rough, non-composed, yet beautiful and exciting scenery.
