The 2014 Teen Choice Awards were distributed on 10th August 2014, Sunday evening at the historic Shrine Auditorium
in downtown Los Angeles. The event was originally scheduled for the
UCLA Pauley Pavilion, which was flooded by a broken water pipe on July
29, 2014 near the campus.
The awards celebrate the year's achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy, video games and the Internet, and were voted on by viewers aged 13 through 19. Selena Gomez was awarded the Ultimate Choice Award during the show.
One Direction were the biggest winners of the night, winning all ten awards they were nominated for (including an award given out to Harry Styles and one dedicated to their fans). The Fault in Our Stars won all seven of its nominations as well, including four awards for Ansel Elgort.

Jennifer Lopez and Posey appeared on the
same stage together. After starring in J.Lo's 2002 romantic comedy Maid
in Manhattan, Posey decided he now wanted to be her next backup dancer.
His tryout definitely had us LOLing.
While accepting her Ultimate Choice Award,
Gomez teared up as she thanked her fans and mom for all they do for her
every day. "I want to thank my mom so much because she's the greatest
human being in the world, and she's strong and she's given up her life
for me," she said while holding back tears. "This never belongs to me. This only goes to you."
What better way to celebrate your 17th birthday than by winning a Teen Choice Award? Such was the case for Kylie Jenner who accepted Best Reality Show for Keeping Up With the Kardashians with sisters Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian. "This has been the most awesome birthday present ever so thank you," Kylie told the crowd.
As Becky G performed her summer song, "Shower,"
we couldn't help but smile when the cameras panned to Ariana Grande and
her grandma dancing along. Guess we now know where Grande gets her
amazing moves from.
Demi Lovato singer kicked things off with a performance of "Really Don't Care" with Cher Lloyd. The single would later win Choice Summer Song. "Be the best that you can be because your dreams can come true if you work hard for it," Lovato said in her acceptance speech. Inspiring as always!
